This page is dedicated to the process we have been through simply because we notified the State of Vermont that Travis Belisle did not get a permit when he put up his Wind Measurement tower in 2012.
This page will continue to be updated as this process continues. I would never have believed this would be the process if I wasn’t living it.
July 2, 2015: Dustin and Christine Lang send a letter to the Public Service Board alerting them to the fact that Travis Belisle has a wind meteorological monitoring tower on Rocky Ridge that he did not get a permit to install.
July 8, 2015: Letter to the Dept of Public Service from the PSB asking DPS to investigate the allegation and submit a recommendation to the Board.
July 23, 2015: Letter from DPS to PSB recommending the Board open an investigation into this matter.

Lang’s object to Travis Belisle suggestion that we are intervening because of a dispute over an escrow from when we purchased land from Travis.
November 5, 2015: Subpoena served on Christine and Dustin
Sheriff served the subpoenas at our home. This is a request for information that can be provided through the docket and the proper process. Gives ten days to comply.

Langs are granted partial intervention – only on the particular interest as adjoining landowners.

Since we didn’t have a response back on our objection to the subpoena, we sent a second letter. Also, at that point, we realized that the DPS and PSB did not have a copy of the subpoenas.

Any adjustments to the schedule based on the Langs intervention status were due on November 20, but due to above responses being due on November 30th, DPS is requesting that the schedule deadline move to December 4.
November 23, 2015: Extension of Schedule Granted
Hearing Officer Michael Tousley grants the extension.

Basically, the discovery request is basically the same as what was requested in the subpoenas with just a few minor changes.

Leslie is stating that the Hearing Officer erred in granting our partial intervenorship and she is requesting a full Board review
December 4, 2015: Motion for more Definitive Statement and Detailed Statement on the Burden of Proof and Issues for the Hearing
Leslie is asking that the schedule be postponed until the Board reviews the Lang intervenorship. She is asking for more information about who bears the burden of proof in this case.
